Mission Expo is designed to be a world-class mission conference led by local churches of various evangelical denominations.
What is a Participating Church?
A Mission Expo Participating Church is one which chooses to participate in the annual conference as well as support Mission Expo in significant ways such as:
  •  Provide input in Mission Expo conference program planning.
  • Clear the church calendar of conflicting events.
  • Actively promote and encourage members to participate in this FREE conference for the whole family.
  • Appoint one person as their Mission Mobilizer to help promote the event within the church. The Mission Mobilizer may also choose to attend the monthly meetings of the Mission Expo Planning Committee in order to provide input from the church and to recruit volunteers to help during the conference.
  • Make a financial donation to Mission Expo ($.50, $1 or $2 per average adult attendance) to help with program costs. Since the conference is free for individuals, support from churches is crucial to the on-going program.

    How would my church benefit by being a Participating Church?
  • Mission Expo is an opportunity to offer a mission conference for your church without having the full responsibility or expense of providing it for your church alone.
  •  It provides access to many more organizations and speakers than could be brought by your church alone.
  • It offers an opportunity for full participation and input into the conference to fill some of your church’s own needs.
  • As a conference which spans many evangelical denominations, it can excite and broaden your church’s vision for missions.
  • It brings representatives from mission organizations to the area some of whom may be available to speak in your church on the Sunday following the conference.
  •  Special recognition is given in the Mission Expo Program Magazine to churches that register as Participating Churches by January 15 for each year’s conference.
  • Bulk supplies of bulletin inserts will be supplied at least two months before Mission Expo conference weekend.

    How does my church become a Participating Church?
    To become a Participating Church, you will need to fill out a Church Registration Form and Statement of Faith. You can do this by downloading the Participating Church Registration Packet and mailing in the forms. Or you may contact us at (619) 475-5679 to have the forms mailed to you.     The overall purpose of MissionExposure is to:
    • To provide an opportunity for churches to work together in communicating the needs for evangelism and service worldwide. To enlighten individuals to the broad range of opportunities and skills needed to further God’s work all over the world. People are often surprised how their specific skill (i.e. computer skills, administrative, secretarial, teaching children) can be valuable on the mission field.
    • To introduce participants to representatives from a multitude of organizations that are directly involved in evangelism, education and service to diverse populations around the world.
    • To inspire individuals to participate in and support global outreach in all its facets, some of which include:

      • 1. Proclamation of the Christian gospel to every people group in every corner of the world.
      2. Church planting especially among people groups where no viable church presently exists.
      3. Short and long-term education and training of national workers in the principles, practices and spiritual application of the Christian faith as well as in leadership and organizational skills necessary for leading, inspiring and strengthening their church.
      4. Assistance as needed, either long or short-term, in health, education, social and economic development and emergency relief.
